“I was trying to teach myself meditation when I read a book that suggested it was a good idea to do a course. Luckily, it was around the time one of Carolyne’s courses was starting. At first, I’d barely been able to manage three minutes of keeping my eyes closed. Eventually I could make the 10-minute mark. Just. But on the very first night with Carolyne, I meditated for 20 minutes and wondered where the time had gone!

I’d thought about doing private lessons, but I decided to go for the group class and I’m so glad I did. For some reason, meditating is easier when you are with other people (who knew?) and you learn more when others are asking questions too.

Carolyne’s great skill is in her ability to take the mystery out of meditation. It’s okay for thoughts to intrude. It happens to everyone, she explained.  Even the Dalai Lama!
I can’t claim to be able to still my mind for the 20 minutes I now meditate every day. I doubt many people can. The real benefit is in the marvellous moments of stillness I find within those 20 minutes and they seem to do the trick. My life is undoubtedly better for my daily practice. I respond way better to life’s little irritations, and I’m much better able to cope with stressful situations.

If you are at all interested in learning how to meditate and how to establish it as a habit, I highly recommend Carolyne and her course. It’s a gift that keeps giving”.
