Quick question.
How do you define happiness?
Is it having a big family? Lots of money? Fame? Perfect relationships?
I am willing to bet that we could possess all of this and still at times be quite unhappy and dissatisfied with life.
You see, true happiness is a state of mind – it comes from within.
Relying heavily on external situations to give you happiness often results in dissatisfaction.
This is something that I learned the hard way.
After I stopped meditating for a few years and things started to go astray with both my career and personal life, I had to go deep within to understand what was going on.
As I have mentioned previously, it resulted in meditating everyday for eight weeks for two hours a day…
It was only after I was deep into my meditation practice when I realised that happiness was always there, but I had buried it under layers of thoughts, feelings and pain within my body.
This in return created blocks to my happiness.
Meditation lets us access, recognize and enhance the positive qualities of the mind.
It unlocks all the emotional feelings that are stored throughout your body.
Once I understood this, all it took was understanding my thoughts and reconnecting with my happy state of mind.
I felt this sense of calm and peace, something that I hadn’t experienced before.
I felt uniquely connected to myself and this level of contentment felt like it had enveloped me.
By practising meditation regularly, I was able to create the conditions for a happy state of mind.
And when I am in this state of mind, I feel more kind, empathetic and compassionate in my interactions with those around me.
Meditation increases the natural production of serotonin & dopamine in your brain, these are the feel-good hormones that affect your mood, memory, sleep, libido, appetite and more.
I was so excited, motivated and vibrant!
You can see why it’s important for our overall mental health to practice meditation.
No matter where you are in your practice at the moment, I believe I can definitely help you find happiness.
It took me years to explore different forms of meditation, learning from different masters and then finally making my way to Chopra Centre in the US.
But you don’t have to spend years to reap the amazing benefits of meditation.
I knew I had to find a way to culminate all of my learnings (business and meditation) and create something that could fastrack growth for busy people.
And so I did. I created a practical, enjoyable and memorable online training course to help people meditate correctly and at the comfort of their home.
Looking forward to being a part of your meditation journey.
Kindest,
Carolyne xx
